Hippisch Centrum Bodegraven is centrally located in the Groene Hart. Due to our proximity to the N11 and A12, our riding school is easily accessible for riders from outside the area. The riding school features 3 arenas, indoor and outdoor stables, a lunge circle, 5 paddocks, a horse walker and pastures. Weather permitting, trail rides can also be taken directly from the grounds. The ride goes through an extensive polder area, along cornfields and ditches, ideal for enjoying peace and nature. At Hippisch Centrum Bodegraven, there is a wide choice for every rider to feel at home.
Large riding arena
Manege Hippisch Centrum Bodegraven has three riding arenas. The largest arena is covered and measures 20 × 70 meters with a natural surface. In this arena, riding lessons are given and competitions are held. The arena can be fully viewed from the cafeteria, where you can enjoy refreshments while following the lesson or competition. This arena is also available outside lesson times for our boarding and lease clients.
Small riding arena
Our other covered arena measures 20 x 40 meters. The arena is directly adjacent to the large indoor arena and is used for warming up during competitions. The arena can also be used for private lessons and free riding by boarding and lease clients.
Outdoor riding arena
In addition to two covered arenas, we also have one outdoor arena measuring 20 x 40 meters. This arena is a favorite with boarding and lease clients during the summer months.
Not only the rider should feel at home at Hippisch Centrum Bodegraven, but also the horses and ponies. That's why the riding school offers a varied selection of both outdoor and indoor stables. Indoors, horses are mucked out weekly and bedded multiple times; outdoors, clients muck out their own horse/pony.
Every horse needs sufficient exercise, which is why we have 9 paddocks among other facilities. Horses and ponies can use the paddocks in both summer and winter months. Each day, the horses or ponies are allowed to use them for a minimum of 3 hours.
During the summer period, there is the option to rent a pasture for your horse and possibly have it outside 24/7.
